Preparations on track for by-polls

SHILLONG: The State Election Department has started its preparations for conducting by-polls in South Tura and Ranikor.
CEO FR Kharkongor on Saturday said his field visit to both the constituencies will take place next week after the nomination process is over.
He informed that sector zones have been divided in South Tura and preparation of EVMs and training of personnel are in order.
The state has requested for four companies of central forces in each constituency.
