One arrested for carrying cannabis in ASTC bus

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Police arrested one person who was found carrying cannabis in an Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) night super bus.

Police said that on Friday around 2.30 A.M., one Anush Kumar (45) along with two juveniles aged 15 and 17 years, were proceeding towards Shillong in an ASTC night super bus (AS-20-1879), when they were found to be carrying cannabis weighing around 51.155 Kgs.

Police seized the cannabis and arrested Anush Kumar, while the juveniles were forwarded to Juvenile Justice Court.
