‘Asthi Kalash’ of Vaypayee to reach Shillong on Thursday

SHILLONG:  The asthi Kalash (ashes) of former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be brought to Shillong on Thursday.

BJP leader and Cabinet Minister,  AL Hek on  Tuesday said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will give asthi Kalash to all the state presidents of the BJP and BJP state president, Shibun Lyngdoh will received the ashes in New Delhi on Wednesday

According to Hek, the ashes will be brought to Shillong and it will be immersed in some river here in Shillong.

The former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee recently breathed his last in New Delhi.

Earlier, Hek also met the daughter of  Atal Bihari Vajpayee in New Delhi and attended his funeral.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Meghalaya will organise an Asthi Kalash Yatra of the former Prime Minister in the BJP State office Shillong.

 

On Thursday, Shibun Lyngdoh , President of BJP Meghalaya along with the Asthi Kalash will arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bardoloi International Airport Guwahati.

 

On the same day, the Party Kariyakartas(members) will pay Sradhanjali(Homage)at Nongpoh, Ri-bhoi District and later in the evening, the Asthi Kalash will be installed in BJP state party office conference hall, by the officials and members of the party.

 

Next day, all party Kariyakartas will pay their Sradhanjali at BJP state party office at conference hall and an All faith Prayer Meet  would also be held .

 

Same evening, all Party leaders will pay the Sradhanjali. Nalin Kohli , the State prabhari  and Shibun Lyngdoh will attend and pay the Sradhanjali.

 

On August 25, Kalash Visharjan (Immersion of the Asthi Kalash)  will be done at Umshyrpi river near Rilbong Dhobi Ghat.
