One killed, 2 injured in road mishaps

SHILLONG: In a spate of road accident cases across the state, one person was killed and two were injured.
Manoj Lalita (35) and Dharmendra (31) both from Assam met with an accident in Mawtnum Nongpoh, Ri Bhoi at 1:35 am on Wednesday. They were travelling to Guwahati when their auto truck (AS 01JC 2038) hit another truck (AS 01DD 3485) and lost control and then hit the divider. As a result Dharmendra died on the spot while Lalita sustained multiple injuries. The 108 Umsing based ambulance helped the victim to shift to Nongpoh CH.
In another incident, Dhiraj Deka (26) hit a moving vehicle from behind while he was riding a scooter at Shangbangla, Nongpoh on Tuesday.
