One injured in Sunday night shoot-out in Shillong

SHILLONG: One person was injured in a shooting incident that took place at around 11.40 on Sunday at Lapalang Bridge near the SBI ATM in the city.

The injured was identified as Pynskhembor Kharmawlong (24), son on Alxander Mukhim, a resident of Nongrah Iummarboh. He was admitted to NEIGHRIMS hospital with bullet injury.

Police recovered an empty cartridge of 9mm pistol. The injured person told the police that assailants came in a car and fled after shooting at him.
