50 pc of EKH population enrolled under Aadhaar

SHILLONG: Around 50 per cent of the population in East Khasi Hills District has been registered for Aadhaar.
DC P.S Dkhar said that the administration does not have any deadline to cover the entire population of the district. “We are enrolling only those who are approaching us for the registration,” the DC said.
The UIDAI website as on August 15 shows that 26.1 per cent of total population of Meghalaya has been enrolled with Aadhaar with 8,54,341 Aadhaar cards being assigned.
