Parents oppose to Step by Step new fee structure

SHILLONG: Parents are opposing the alleged move of Step By Step School to pay the admission fees again amounting to Rs 10,000 following the opening of the new school building.
Concerned parents in a statement issued here said that admission fees will have to be paid again for admission to class I, building fees, fees for Bharat Scouts & Guides, Red Cross, photography fees, printing fees etc. Further, it is alleged that students below class KG have to sit for entrance examination to get promoted to class I over and above the monetary charges. They have urged the Education Department to come up with an Education Policy to deal with issues of private institutions.
