Two-day NE police chiefs’ conference begins in Itanagar

GUWAHATI: Police chiefs of all the eight Northeastern states have converged at Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday for a two-day conclave  that will focus on regional coordination in tackling law and order, counter-insurgency operations, intelligence sharing, illegal drug trade effecting the region and inter-state boundary disputes among other issues.

Top officials of the Army, CRPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB and IB are also participating in the conference.
