SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister and senior NPP leader Prestone Tynsong has ranked Mukul Sangma as the worst chief minister in his political career.
The statement was a reaction to the statement made by the leader of the opposition that “governance is an art and not everybody’s cup of tea” and that “the Congress-led Meghalaya United Alliance government despite the financial constraints came up with a health policy that was appreciated, accepted and even replicated in other parts of the country”.
Talking to media persons here on Tuesday, Tynsong said, “I was part of the Meghalaya United Alliance government under his leadership and I found out and he was the worst chief minister I have ever had in my political career till today.”
Terming Sangma’s remark on governance as “irresponsible”, Tynsong said, “He was in the chair for not less than eight years and he is irresponsible for talking that way. This is not fair.”
The deputy chief minister asserted that the MDA government is running well under the leadership of Conrad Sangma and they stand for the interest of the people.
