SHILLONG: Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) central executive committee (CEC) said that  THS Bonney could not contest from the party as he had resigned from the party.

In a statement issued here, general secretary, KHNAM, Freewelson Marpna said as per the constitution of the party, it could field him once he became a member and tendered application again.

Reacting to Bonney’s claims on the strength of the CEC, Marpna said the CEC of KHNAM was still going strong and there was no change.

Marpna said the matter of expelling KHNAM MLA/MDC Adelbert Nongrum had not cropped up yet.
