SHILLONG: The UDP will hold a meeting soon to discuss its strategy for next year’s elections.
The party’s election committee will meet on September 21 to discuss the performance of the Regional Democratic Alliance, beside the modalities for the district council and the Lok Sabha polls, UDP general secretary Jemino Mawthoh told reporters on Wednesday.
To a query, Mawthoh said sitting MDCs would be given preference for the 2019 council election “provided no controversy crops up”.
