TURA: Leaders of the Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA) and the All Garo Hills Adhoc Lower Primary School Teachers Association (AGHALPSTA) recently met Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma at his residence to discuss various issues concerning them.

During the meeting, the issue of up-grading their services from Adhoc to Deficit System as allegedly assured by the Chief Minister during the MUPSTA’s State Level Annual General Conference at Asanang, was raised by the teachers.

In reply, the Chief Minister is said to have assured that the government would first declare the State Education Policy after which step by step measures would be taken to look into the demand.
