SHILLONG: The Assistant Professor of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, NEIGRIHMS, Dr Ananya Das has refuted the allegations of negligence of doctors which resulted in the death of a baby.
Earlier, after his wife was admitted at the Institute, Aiyez Ahmed had lodged a complaint with the NEIGRIHMS Director about the alleged negligence of doctors of obstetrics and gynecology resulting in the death of their baby.
However, in a statement, Das said that there was no delivery of baby in the Emergency Department on August 16 and in fact it was a case of incomplete abortion for which necessary management was done under her supervision.
According to Das, the woman was discharged in good health and the people who have supplied the news is motivated to defame her and the institute. The doctor has also sent a complaint to the Director of the institute for redressal.
