Two electrocuted

SHILLONG: Two persons were dead after they were reportedly electrocuted in two different incidents in the state recently.
It was reported that on September 13 around 10.45 pm, one Pynshai Thyrniang (19) of Rangblang Sohryniang village in South West Khasi Hills district was brought dead at CHC Ichamati. Later, during enquiry it was learnt that the deceased had come in contact with live electricity wire at Dangar Tyllap village.
A day earlier on September 12 around 10.40 pm, one Moonstarson Summer of Mawshun in East Khasi Hills District came in contact with live electricity wire in a Power Sub-Station at Pongtung village under Pynursla Police Station.
As a result, he sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to PHC Pongtung where the attending Medical Officer declared him brought dead.
Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under enquiry.
