SHILLONG: More than 1600 IAS aspirants from across Meghalaya took part in the Mega IAS Scholarship Exam conducted by ALS in all District Headquarters of Meghalaya on Saturday.
The scholarship exam was conducted to selected the top 100 IAS aspirants in the state who will be fully sponsored for their training at ALS Shillong and Tura centre under the Chief Minister Career Guidance and Counselling Scheme.
This initiative will give opportunity to needy and deserving IAS aspirants of Meghalaya who are unable to afford quality education.
The exam was supervised by the respective Deputy Commissioners of each district along with nodal officers nominated by their respective DC.
Results of the exam will be declared on October 6 and training for the selected candidates will start from October 15 in Shillong and Tura.
