5 injured in road mishaps

SHILLONG: Six persons were reportedly injured in separate cases of accidents in the state.
18-year-old Cyril Sangma met with an accident due to the deplorable road at Dolwagre, Tikrikilla in West Garo Hills. Sangma tumbled on the potholes of the road, as a result he sustained injuries and was shifted to Tikrikilla PHC by 108 Tikrikilla based ambulance.
Christina Nongkynrih (18) and Nangpynskhem Kharnaior (17) sustained injuries when the local taxi they were travelling in met with an accident at 5th Mile Upper Shillong near Shillong Peak Junction around 11:03 pm. The victims were shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Pomlum based ambulance.
In another incident, Haida Ali (22) sustained injuries when he was attacked by a mob at 14th mile near petrol pump in Byrnihat, Ri Bhoi around 10:53 pm when he was reversing his pickup truck and by mistake hit another car. The victim was shifted to Byrnihat PHC.
August Kharkongngor (40) was injured when his car hit a road divider near Mawlyngngad as he was trying to avoid another vehicle heading from the opposite direction.
As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital by 108 Smit based ambulance.
Runner suffers abdominal pain
Badamutshisha Sten (16) who was a participant in the marathon conducted by NESAC from Bhoirymbong Field – Mawbri on October 2, suddenly complaint of abdominal pain and headache. She was shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC by 108 Bhoirymbong base Ambulance.
