Sunriser FC Lift 40-Above Football Trophy

SHILLONG: Sunriser Football Club defeated Umpling Football Club 2-1 in the just concluded finals of the Pay For Right Shillong Above-40 Veteran Football Tournament held at the Jawarlal Nehru Sports Complex on Tuesday. The winning team received a cash award of Rs 30,000/- along with a Trophy while the runner-up team received Rs 15,000/- along with a Trophy. Health Minister AL Hek was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while Indian renown footballer Rocus Lamare and Amit Rai were present as the Guests of Honour. Striker Nicksonlang Lyngdoh of Friends United was awarded the Top Scorer of the tournament while Elias Dhar (Kit) of Umpling FC got the Best Goal Keeper award.
