TURA: Even as the last rites of Selsella MLA Clement Marak was taking place on Thursday, condolence messages to the deceased leader and his family members continued to pour in from supporters and his well wishers.
The District Congress Committee of West Garo Hills and the Tura City Congress Committee in an emergent meeting held at the Congress Bhavan near Members’ Hostel in Tura condoled the untimely demise of Marak and expressed deep shock and sorrow.
Remembering Marak as an affable, amiable and charismatic leader, the party said that not only the family and relatives but also the society and the party have lost a loving and benign person whose place will be hard to fill.
“In this hour of grief and sorrow, we extend our heartfelt sympathy and profound condolences to all the members and relatives of the bereaved family and join in prayer to Almighty God to bless them with strength, peace and solace in their hour of grief,” the condolence message said.
