Govt alerts districts on cyclonic air circulation

SHILLONG: The government on Thursday alerted all the eleven districts to be on high alert in view of the cyclonic air circulation.
The MET department has predicted that heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the state on Friday.
In view of the warning issued by the MET office, an order from the revenue and disaster management department to all the Deputy Commissioners and SDOs said that the line departments are to be on alert and monitor the situation in their areas regularly.
The DCs have also been advised to activate Incidence Response Team.
