Minor girls abducted
On October 13, Sunitha M Sangma lodged a complaint that about 6:30 pm, Renier A Sangma abducted her thirteen-year-old daughter from her residence at Matchakolgre in West Garo Hills.
Hamizuddin Hoque lodged a complaint that on October 6, two women identified as Sonali Bibi and Mokida Khatun abducted the complainant’s thirteen-year-old daughter from his residence at Puskarnipara village in West Garo Hills and handed her over to Hafizur Rahman of Tanergaon, South Salmara, Assam, through two persons namely Sahajahan and Aja Hossain.

Two held for forging NOC
The West Khasi Hills District police arrested Drolishon Diengngan and Silbanus Dkhar of Nonglyier village for allegedly forging the NoC of the Headman of Nonglyier village dated February 5, 1988.
The forged NoC was submitted at the office of SSA Nongstoin for changing the School of Nonglyier village authority into Drolishon Welfare Society Nonglyier between the year 2010 and 2017. The FIR was field against the duo after the headman of Nonglyier village, Sporjohn Nongbak, learnt of the forgery.

Heroin seized, man held
On the October 15, police arrested Shanborlang L Marshillong (23) and recovered 0.42 grams of suspected heroin, syringes, pills etc., from his possession at Nongstoin market.

Vehicle theft
On October 15, unknown miscreants stole a Tata Sumo (ML04 B 7005) belonging to Jerister Rymbai from his residence at Tongseng village in East Jaintia Hills.
On October 14, a motorcycle (ML08 C 9129) belonging to Jebith R Marak was found missing from Aidoba market in South West Garo Hills.

Theft
On October 11 around 10:30 am, unknown miscreants stole two CPUs, two computer monitors and CCTV camera valued around Rs. 80,000 from the Central Store of M/s JUD Cement Ltd., at Wahiajer, Narpuh in East Jaintia Hills.

Woman attacked
On October 15 at about 1.30 pm, unidentified miscreants attacked Ambika Paudel (47) with a sharp weapon, while she was sleeping in her house at Ronghona, Byrnihat. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital.

Threat cases
Mutlang Dkhar, Headman of Wapungshnong village in East Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on October 11 at about 10:30 am, while the complainant and others were attending a meeting of the village Dorbar, two persons identified as Rejen Dkhar and Shaky Dkhar threatened the executive members of the village Dorbar with dire consequences.
A woman lodged a complaint that her husband Sollendro G Marak tortured, harassed and threatened her with dire consequences and on October 11 around 11 pm, he attempted to rape her younger sister. However, when the complainant objected, the accused opened fire from his country-made pistol.
Planty Chadong lodged a complaint that on October 10, her son Micky Chadong (29) created nuisance and threatened her with dire consequences at Umkiang village in East Jaintia Hills.
Shnalad Rymbai, President, Jaintia Students’ Movement, Eastern Region Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on October 9, he received a threatening text message in his cell-phone.
