Kidnapped for ransom
Munap Ali lodged a complaint that on October 16 around 3 pm, miscreants abducted his son Ejajul Haque (20) from Dingok area (North Garo Hills). The next day, the complainant received an anonymous phone call, wherein the caller demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh and also threatened his son with dire consequences if the demand was not fulfilled.

Theft
Shibu Upadhya lodged a complaint that on October 20 around 4 am, 20/30 miscreants entered the premises of ITC godown at Khanapara (Ri Bhoi) and took away cash amounting to Rs 30,000, CCTV back-up and hard drive after overpowering the security guards.
On October 19 around 7.15 pm, miscreants stole one truck (AS-01DC-3836) from Siejlieh (WKH). Matter is under enquiry.
Sunil Syiemiong lodged a complaint that on October 19, one Arjun Chettri stole his vehicle (ML-10B-4548) from Umbang (Ri Bhoi).
