Thieves make off with goods worth over Rs 80,000

NONGSTOIN: On October 15, miscreants broke open the lock of one shop at Riangdo, Mawshynrut in West Khasi Hills and stole cash and goods worth over Rs 80,000.
Welking Dkhar, a resident of Mawtynrong village submitted an FIR stating that on October 15 night, miscreants broke open the lock of his shop at Riangdo market by cutting the lock. In his statement, he said goods such as mobile phones, power bank, memory cards, headphones, jio wifi, battery, earphones, headphone, charger, money among other items amounting to Rs 84,600 were stolen.
An enquiry into the matter was made and the broken lock was also taken into evidence.
The complainant said the theft occurred while he was out of town resulting in the delay of FIR. His helper was taking care of the shop while he was gone.
