Kala Utsav competition held; winner to represent state in Delhi

SHILLONG: With the aim of promoting arts in education sector by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talents of students, the State Level competition of the Kala Utsav initiated by the Ministry of Human Resource Development under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) was held at the U Soso Tham Auditorium in the city on Friday.
The programme inaugurated by Chief Electoral Officer F. R. Kharkongor, was organised by the Directorate of School Education and Literacy, State Education Mission Authority, RMSA, now Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Secondary and higher secondary schools from 11 districts took part in the competition showcasing their talent in music, dance, drama and visual arts.
It may be mentioned that the winners of the competition will represent the state in the National level competition which will be held in New Delhi.
