Village gets digital library & counselling centre

SHILLONG: AROH foundation has launched a digital library cum counselling centre at Mawjrong village under Laitkroh Block recently.
The prize distribution for winners of Rashtriya Swachchta Divas event was also held on the occasion.
According to the NGO, the main objective is to create reading habits, provide information and communication services to rural beneficiaries.
The library has been designed to provide services to students, farmers and youths.
AROH also provided internet services so that students can access the links of different libraries.
The BDO of Laitkroh inaugurated the digital library in the presence of the headman and authorities of 14 local schools along with the executives of HDFC.
Prizes were distributed to winners of different activities held for the Rashtriya Sawchchta Divas.
