Khongjee quits BJP

SHILLONG: Former Sohra MLA PW Khongjee on Monday tendered his resignation from the BJP.
He cited personal issues as the reason for his resignation which he submitted to the party state president.
Khongjee had unsuccessfully contested the 2018 Assembly elections from Sohra on a BJP ticket.
In a related development, Sharaj Nongbri resigned from the primary membership of North Shillong Block Congress Committee including his position as secretary of the committee and advisor of Wahingdoh unit.
