MPCC remembers Indira on death anniv

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday observed the 34th death anniversary of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
MPCC working president James S. Lyngdoh presided over the programme that was attended by Umroi MLA George B Lyngdoh, Rambrai-Jyrngam MLA Kimfa S. Marbaniang and others.
The ceremony started with floral tributes then a keynote address by Umroi legislator.
The gathering was also addressed by John F Kharshiing, general secretary of the committee.
The speakers remembered Gandhi with solemnity as they reflected on her tremendous contributions to the country.
