SHILLONG: The Income Tax Department organised sapling plantation drive and other events as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada from October 15 to October 31.
All employees of the department joined the green drive at Ward’s Lake and Lady Hydari Park.
Essay writing competition on ‘What can I do for a clean India?’, slogan writing, drawing competition, extempore speech on Swacchh Bharat, quiz on Mahatma Gandhi for all officers/officials stationed at Shillong.
Prize distribution for best sections for weeding out of old records/digitisation of new records, best essay, slogan writing and drawing competition were distributed.
