Eight injured in separate accidents

SHILLONG: As many as eight persons were injured in a series of accidents reported from across the state on the weekend.
Bester A Sangma (30) was injured when his scooty skidded in Kendrakona, South West Garo Hills around 1:52 pm on Saturday. The 108 Mahendraganj base ambulance helped the victim to shift at CHC.
In a case of hit and run, a 28-year-old pedestrian was knocked down by a scooty at Nongmynsong in the city on Sunday. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH by 108 service.
Three persons sustained minor injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in turned turtle at Mylliem 11th Mile around 10:31 am on Sunday. The injured victims are Meioograce Warjri (23), Wanmiliancy Kharkrang (19) and Banshanlang Majaw (27), all three were shifted to Pomlum PHC by 108 Pomlum base ambulance.
In another incident, a bus dashed into a wall at Umiam View point around 1:27 pm on Sunday. Fillbeneson Nongrum (17) fell off the bus through the front wind shield. (Contd on P-10)
