NONGSTOIN: The deputy commissioner of West Khasi Hills has informed that event managers or any individual/group/community conducting events like fetes, festivals or fishing competitions in the district must obtain permission from the district administration.
The DC said organising events without permission from the competent authority is in contravention of the Provisions of various rules.
“Any person desirous to organise events should obtain prior permission from the office of the deputy commissioner, failing which such activities will not be allowed to take place,” the deputy commissioner said in a statement.
