House reduced to ashes in Ri-Bhoi

NONGPOH: In a fire incident which occurred on the wee hours of Tuesday, a house belonging to Narolin Khongjoh and Omiwell Marbaniang at Pahamrioh Them in Ri Bhoi District was reduced to ashes along with all their belongings. As per sources, the incident occurred at around 2:00 AM on Tuesday morning as the family was asleep. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident as they could escape the burning flames just in time before it could spread to the whole house. Members of the Ri Bhoi Youth Federation, Nongpoh Circle led by its President and General Secretary, Joseph Syngkli and Fullbok Lyngdoh who visited the spot on Tuesday, donated roof sheets and blankets to the victim family in presence of the headman, K Suting and other village elders.
