Bus conductor dies
On October 31 around 5.45 pm, a bus driver identified as Manbhaboklang Mylliem (25) knocked his handyman while reversing the vehicle at Laitkyrhong village in East Kkasi Hills. As a result, the handyman sustained injuries and was shifted to Super Care Hospital, Shillong, where the attending MO declared him brought dead. Necessary formalities were observed.

Vehicle lifting menace
On November 5, miscreants stole one new Bolero pick-up belonging to Edward Thangkhiew from Mawlai Nongkwar, Block-13, Shillong.
On November 4 around 7.30 pm, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05M-8646) belonging to Narayan Boro, parked in the roadside near his residence at Cleve Colony, Shillong.
On November 4, miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-05N-4621) belonging to Donavan Shangpliang from Jelly Shop, Nongthymmai.

Miscreants steal Rs 10k from school
Dapblin Wahlang lodged a complaint that on November 5, miscreants broke into the office of Lobingwel’s Section School Building at New Nongstoin, West Khasi Hills and stole cash Rs. 10,000.

Six coal-laden trucks detected
On November 5, Police along with Magistrate detected six coal-laden trucks from Nongtraw village, Umroi Umdohbyrthit and Pyllun village in Ri Bhoi.

Man assaults wife
Sophiroi Suiam lodged a complaint that on November 4 at 8.30 pm, her ex-husband, Heimon Suchiang, assaulted her and also threatened her with dire consequences.
