Man dies after accidental gun shot
Simanson B Marak and one other lodged a complaint that on November 6 around 6.30 pm, three persons namely, Silseng Ch Marak (37), Krit Ch Sangma and Mansing G Momin were hunting near Juranggre area in West Garo Hills.
Silseng Ch Marak who was carrying a gun, tripped and fell down and the gun accidentally fired at his friend, Mansing G Momin. As a result, Momin sustained injuries and was shifted to Civil Hospital in Tura were he succumbed to his injuries. Necessary formalities were observed and the matter is under investigation.

Three injured in separate accidents
On November 8 around 4 pm, one scooty (ML-05R-0746) knocked down Purnima Madak (42) near Bawri Mansion at Dhankheti, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong for treatment.
On November 8 around 11 am, a truck (ML-05G-9884) driven by Lamstarwell Khsiar dashed against one scooty (ML-05R-6956) ridden by Badapkupar Dkhar at Mawlai Iewrynghep, Shillong. As a result, the rider and one pillion rider of the scooty sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong.
