ATM fraud
Kh. Dhanabati lodged a complaint that she received several calls from one Deepak Sharma who claims to be a Branch Manager of SBI Evening Branch, GS Road, regarding the complainant Bank account’s KYC and activation of her ATM card. Later, she found that Rs. 76,900 has been debited from her account.
Martin Khongmen lodged a complaint that on November 8 around 11.35 pm, he learnt that Rs. 59,020 had been fraudulently withdrawn from his SBI account.
Email hacked
Pankaj Sharma lodged a complaint that miscreants hacked his email ID and threatened to leak the information if the complainant does not meet the demand of $981 in Bitcoin currency.
Vehicle rams into tea stall
On November 13 noon, one Mahindra pick-up (ML-14-0136) rammed against two motorcycles, three bicycles and one tea stall belonging to Tarbashu Hajong at Doromchas Bazar, South West Garo Hills and fled away. In the incident, five persons who were inside the tea stall, sustained injuries and were shifted to PHC Doromchas /Civil Hospital Tura.
Use of explosives
H.A Sangma, Superintendent of Fisheries, East Garo Hills, lodged a complaint that on November. 10 around 12.30 pm, miscreants used explosive to catch fish from Simsang River.
Girl missing
Dharmendra Singh lodged a complaint that his daughter went missing from her residence at Pdengshnong, Pynthorumkhrah since November 6, 2018 and the complainant suspected that Anna forcibly took her to Dhubri, Assam.
Illegal rent
Cayleysha Jarain lodged a complaint that Donbok Myria purportedly claimed to be the owner of the complainant’s property at Laitumkhrah, Shillong and has been illegally collecting the monthly rent from her tenants since September this year.
