Meghalaya govt to release arrear pay to deficit teachers

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Government is in the process to release the 1st installment of arrears of the revised pay for the deficit teachers before Christmas

Khasi Jaintia Deficit School Teachers Association, President Babukular Khongjirem said that  the assurance to release the arrears before Christmas was made by the Principal Secretary of the Education department during their meeting here on Wednesday

According to Khongjirem, Government  is also willing to release even the 2nd installments provided the  District School Education Officers submit their details within a week

He also said that all the  District School Education Officers have been requested to submit the details at the earliest.
