SHILLONG: The Mawsynram Border Area College, NCC Girls wing, under the leadership of N Hujon, Chief Technical Officer, celebrated NCC Week from November 19 to November 25.
The celebration was attended by Principal of the college, C.P. Khonglah, staff, NCC cadets and students. The Principal in her speech informed the importance and benefits that students will get from joining the NCC and subsequently followed by pledge taking from all the participants.
In the following days, the NCC Girls wing conducted programmes such as poster making related to its motto, ‘Unity and Discipline’, followed by a cleaning drive in and off-campus and the participation of cadets in the awareness programme was organised by the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority on POCSO Act, 2012, on November 22.
The celebration concluded on Sunday with vote of thanks from Hujon.
