Workshop held at Sankardev College

SHILLONG: Sankardev College recently organised a workshop on the theme ‘Revisiting the Political History of North East India’ where students and faculties of colleges from Shillong, Sohra, Jowai and Nongpoh took part, which was held on the College premises.
Prof L S Gassah, Retd. HOD of Political Science, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) and Dr S N Lamare from Department of History, NEHU, were the resource persons. Issues of contemporary as well as historical importance pertaining to North East India were highlighted and discussed.
The inaugural programme started with a welcome speech by the Principal, Matti Syiem, followed by a brief introduction on the topic by the IQAC Coordinator, Manbor S Warjri. The vote of thanks was proposed by Vice Principal Kenneth Chyne.
