IT dept to hire contractual staff
SHILLONG: The State Cabinet on Monday gave a special approval to the proposal of the Information Technology and Communication department to fill the vacancy of two posts of LDA in the department on contractual basis.
The approval was given until the Secretariat Administration Department makes the post available through the Meghalaya Public Service Commission.
Medical aids to HC retd judges & kin
SHILLONG: The Cabinet on Monday amended the rules for providing medical facilities to the retired judges of the High Court of Meghalaya and their families.
Under the amended rule, a retired judge shall be entitled to take medical treatment in any hospital or nursing home in the country on the basis of a referral by any medical practitioner or a doctor in the place of the stay of the retired judge or in the place where the need of the medical treatment arises.
