Job card holders duped
Nippon Hajong, BDO and programme officer, MGNREGS, Dadenggre C& R D Block,West Garo Hills lodged a complaint that one Sanching Marak, Ex-Secretary and one Sonjen Sangma Ex-President of Renchigre (A) VEC, failed to make payment to the job card holders of the VEC for the completed road project during the year 2017-18.

Murderers surrender
On November 23 around 4 pm, two persons, Plosphom Lyngkhoi (38) and Wallamphor Nongphud (35) murdered Ding Shangoi (34) at Domsem Umsaw village, West Khasi Hills. Later both the accused surrendered at Nongstoin police station. Police arrested the duo.

Girl missing
Kartik Das lodged a complaint that on November 22 at about 10 am, his seventeen year old daughter went to Mahendraganj market, South West Garo Hills for shopping, but did not return till date.

Juvenile thief held
Delina Marweiñ (66) lodged a complaint that on November 25, a 15 year old juvenile was caught red handed while he was breaking into her shop at Ladweitang Locality,West Khasi Hills. Police arrested him.

Driver dies in accident
On November 24 around 1.20 am, one vehicle driven by Baslius Mallai met with an accident at Sumer,Ri Bhoi. As a result, the driver and one occupant sustained injuries and were shifted to Woodland Hospital, where the driver succumbed to injuries.

Woman harassed
A woman from Iawpynsin Ummulong, West Jaintia Hills lodged a complaint that on November 24 around 11.43 am, she received a phone call from one unidentified male person who harassed her by using sexually abusive words.

Car tape, mobile stolen
On November 23 around 8.50 am, miscreants stole a car tape and one cell phone from one Maruti Alto car (ML-05N-1738) belonging to Pynjopthiaw Rymbai, parked at Laitumkhrah.

Wallet snatched away
Leversing Myrthong lodged a complaint that on November 23 evening, miscreants snatched away his cell phone and wallet containing cash Rs. 6,000 at GS Road.

Cement factory employee abducted
Samar Dutta lodged a complaint that on November 7, it was suspected that his brother, Shankar Dutta (26) employee of Jaintia Cement factory, Umpleng, East Jaintia Hills has been abducted by miscreants.
