SHILLONG: The Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW) has submitted a petition to the Chief Minister, Conrad with a slew of recommendations in connection with the brutal attack on CSWO president, Agnes Kharshiing and her colleague, Amita Sangma.

According to Commission, Amita Sangma who is the prime witness in the  case  needs round the clock  police protection and her entire family needs to be shifted to a safe house.

Chairperson of the Commission, Theilin Phaniuh while condemning the attack on two social activists recommended that  the Government should speed up the process of  giving interim relief to both the victims for medical treatment.
The Commission while asking the Government to constitute the inquiry committee at the earliest said that the grievous injuries sustained by both the victims should be  amply compensated, adding that the Commission is concern over the slow progress of the investigation
