Ten students injured in accident

SHILLONG: As many as 10 schoolchildren were injured in an accident in Upper Shillong on Friday.
Police said the incident occurred at HQ Eastern Air Command School parking in Upper Shillong at 10.40 am when one Meghalaya Transport Corporation school bus driven by Singwel Step War dashed against a tree while reversing the bus.
Ten schoolchildren of Kendriya Vidyalaya EAC, who were in the bus, sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital in Shillong. All of them were released after giving first aid.
The injured children have been identified as Adonhi A Jyrwa (8), Om (9), Daphalang (10), Zacefron (11), Johana (11), Wanplielad (11), Dangohipaia (11), Elishua Marbaniang (11) and Rishobh (12).
