Joint awareness by MACS, motorsports club

SHILLONG: Team Shillong Endurance Motorsports Club in collaboration with Meghalaya AIDS Control Society decided to confront the society we live in by putting an end to discrimination and stigmatising against people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV).
The Shillong Endurance Motorsports Club with the help of Meghalaya Aids Control Society staged a platform using Motorsports,to express and re-educate everyone including ourselves about the belief system and common misconceptions.
The 3-day event was held at ÏewShyllong Umtyngngar recently.
Sohra MLA Gavin M Mylliem also gave a short speech and flagged off the convoy of vehicles towards the venue along with K. Pradipkumar Singh Brand Ambassador for this event who is PLHIV.
Meghalaya Aids Control Society were simultaneously conducting IEC programs and ICTC testing on all three days wherein engaging spectators with general awareness and questions about HIV, cures, measures etc and gifting them MAC merchandise.
A free eye check up was also given by Bansara Eye Care.
