MePDCL services disrupted
The Chief Engineer (Commercial), MePDCL has informed that the electricity billing and online payment is temporarily disrupted due to a major failure in NERAPDRP Data center hardware equipment at Guwahati and many critical servers are down since November 28. Critical services like billing, cash desk payments, online payment services, MDAS, GIS etc. are being affected.But due to failure in multiple hardware modules more time may be required to restore the system. All efforts are in progress to restore the system at the earliest.

Registration
The Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills has directed all cyber cafes operating in the district to apply for registration under Rule 3 of Meghalaya Cyber cafe Rules 2012 by December 20 failing of which penalties will be imposed against defaulters under Provision IT Act 2000 and 2008. For further details refer to IT website at http://www.ditmeghalaya.gov.in.
