Memorandum
Seng Samla Mawngap recently handed over a memorandum to Sports Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh on the need to have a Synthetic Turf for the football ground.

Cleaning drive
The Lumshyiap Dorbar Shnong will hold its annual cleaning drive in the locality at 8 am on December 10. The Dorbar Shnong secretary, KP Phawa requested all the residents of the locality to participate in the annual cleaning. The land owners who are having their land within the jurisdiction of the locality were also urged to take part in the cleaning drive.

Awareness programme
The NSS Unit Nabon Women’s Synod College organised an awareness programme on ‘Climate Change’ on Wednesday. Adelbert Nongrum, MDC and MLA North Shillong Constituency, was the chief guest and Dr. Jemino Mawthoh was the guest of honour. W. R. Kharkrang was the resource person of this programme.

College fest
The annual college fest of St. Mary’s College is being held from Tuesday to Saturday. The main aim of the festival is to tap potential talents from amongst the students in the field of Sports, Literature, Arts, dance and music.

Pre-Christmas
The Alumni Association of St. Mary’s College (AASMC) in collaboration with St. Mary’s College will organise a pre-Christmas party for the children of St. Mary’s Convent and Roilang Home on the college premises at 11 am on Monday. The celebrations include caroling from the college to Police Point, Laitumkhrah and back, which will be followed by lunch, games and distribution of gifts.

Blood donation
HDFC Bank will organise National Blood Donation Drive on Friday. This drive is part of HDFC Bank’s Parivartan; its umbrella brand for all its social initiatives. The clarion call this year is to inspire and encourage more and more people to come forward to donate blood in what is India Inc.’s largest single-day blood donation initiative. A drive will be organised in Shillong too. Over 3,200 camps in 1,040 cities will be organised to collect blood.
