One killed, 7 injured in separate accidents

SHILLONG: One person was killed and seven people were injured in separate accidents in the state.
A man was killed and two were injured on Tuesday around 11.30 am, when a motorcycle (ML-08B-7157) collided with a BSF Tata truck (AS-01-GC-1067) driven by HC/Driver Binod Kumar Bhatt at Bongbanga village, South West Garo Hills. As a result, the rider of the bike identified as Binash Ch Sangma died on the spot while two pillion riders sustained injuries. Necessary formalities were observed on the deceased while the injured victims were shifted to CHC Mahendraganj for treatment.
Damonlang Langstang (40) was injured when he banged straight to a moving bus at Mawlai Mawiong on Tuesday around 6:13 pm. The victim, who was in inebriated state, was later shifted to Civil Hospital by 108 Lawmali based Ambulance.
In a hit-and-run case on Tuesday, 24-year-old Suman Gurung sustained injury after being hit by a vehicle in Myntdu. He was shifted to Jowai Civil Hospital by 108 Jowai Civil based Ambulance.
Raju Sheikh (35) sustained injury as the bike he was riding skidded at Saw Kilo area around 8:31 am on Wednesday. Sheikh was shifted to NEIGRIHMS by 108 Bhoirymbong based Ambulance.
34-year-old woman identified as Wanbhalin Nongkhlaw was hit by a Maruti Car in Mawlyngad around 10 am on Wednesday.
As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was later shifted to Nazareth by 108 Smit base Ambulance.
On December 5, one motorcycle (ML-11-5441) dashed against a vehicle (ML-10A-7576) at Shillong By-Pass, Pyllun village (RB) under Umiam PS. As a result the motorcycle rider sustained injuries.
