SHILLONG: Police has detected as many as seven vehicles carrying coal in different parts of the state.
On December7 around 2.15 am during ‘Naka’ checking, police detected one coal laden Bolero pick-up (ML-05M-9481) at Umiam (Ri Bhoi).
Earlier on December 5 around 10 am, Umkiang police detected six coal laden trucks (AS-01BC-6881, AS-11AC-8386, AS-11CC-9516, AS-11AC-6499, NL-01AC-0685 and AS-01EC-7413) stranded near Malidor Bridge, NH-44 (EJH), without drivers. Police seized all the trucks and investigation is in progress.
