13 feared dead inside EJH coal mine

SHILLONG: As many as 13 persons were feared dead after they go trapped inside a coal mine  in East Jaintia Hills (EJH) district of Meghalaya.

The incident reportedly happened on Thursday morning.  The 13 persons includes three locals of Lumthari . The  coal mine is located at Ksan near Lyteiñ river under Saipung

The thirteen people who are reportedly trapped inside are :

1.Omor Ali, S/o Smt. Omela Bibi, R/o. Magurmari, West Garo Hills
2. Shri. Mezamur Islam, S/o Shri. Josur Ali Islam
R/o. Phesiakandi, Rajabala, WGH
3. Shri. Mominul Islam, S/o Shri. Abul Islam, R/o. Rajabala, WGH
4. Shri. Amir Hussain, R/o. Apdaguri, Sirang, Assam
5. Shri. Munirul Islam, S/o Shri. Solibar Islam, R/o. Bogidar, Sirang, Assam
6. Shri. Saiar Islam, R/o. Khoyarsala, Sirang, Assam
7. Shri. Shirapat Ali, S/o Azahar Ali, R/o Magurmari, WGH
8. Shri. Mozid Sk, S/o. Mahammad Ali, R/o Magurmari, WGH
9. Shri. Raziul Islam, S/o Shohor Ali, R/o Magurmari, Phulbari, WGH
10. Md. Samsul Haque, S/o Md. Nabaruddin, R/o Kurihamari, PS-Bhangnamari, Nalbari, Assam
11. Shri.Chal Dkhar, S/o Smt. Rita Dkhar, R/o Lumthari, East Jaintia Hills
12. Shri. Iong Dkhar, S/o Smt. Just Dkhar, R/o Lumthari, EJH
13. Shri. Nilam Dkhar, S/o Smt. Just Dkhar, R/o Lumthari, EJH

When contacted, the Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills, FM Dopth who was on the way to the place of occurrence, said that he had already coordinated with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) and they were on their way to the place of occurrence.
