Assam DIPP to support ease of doing business in North East

GUWAHATI: The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) along with Assam have assured the other North East states of hand-holding support to fulfill the ease of doing business (EODB) guidelines and expedite the process.
Announcing this at a regional workshop on “Business Reforms Action Plan 2019” here, Sampa Saha, director, DIPP, called upon the other Northeastern states to expedite the EODB processes in their respective states and assured all support from the DIPP to fulfill their objectives. The state industries and commerce department in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Union ministry of commerce and industry, organised the workshop on Monday.
The Assam Ease of Doing Business Act was enacted in the year 2016.
