The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides conducted the first Himalaya Wood Badge Course for Scoutmasters recently at the State Training Centre, Umtyngar where 12 trainees including two women took part. In another feat, Dafflyne I. Dkhar, son of Albert Khongkhnian, Shillong College and a Rover Scout will represent the state in the Centenary of Rover Scouting celebration to be held from December 24 to 26 at Hongkong.
Clarification
In the report ‘No state order on heavy school bags yet; kids suffer’, Aaron Warjri was erroneously mentioned as the principal of Shillong Government School. Warjri is the principal of Shillong Public School.
