Framing rules to bar teachers from politics: Rymbui

SHILLONG: Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui announced that rules are being framed to prevent teachers of government and government aided schools, colleges and universities from politics are in progress.
“The work is in progress to streamline rules for the matter. The education policy is only a guide,” he told reporters here on Friday.
He added that rules are being framed as per the needs of time and he maintained that the school system should be clean and there should not be any politics in it.
