SHILLONG: Over a hundred youths took out a procession on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, which is celebrated as National Youth Day, on Saturday.
The youths went to Raj Bhavan to meet Governor Tathagata Roy. About 200 youths were present in the hall where Swami Vivekananda had delivered the last public lecture in 1901. A blood donation camp was organised in the morning by Ramakrishna Mission in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS. Volunteers of Vivekananda Cultural Centre conducted cleaning drive in and around Quinton Road and Jail Road on Friday.
